Backing Off (just a little)

I just had an EZ 3hr base spin to loosen up the legs from all of the running (I’ve found that a light and steady spin really helps loosen up the legs and to channel out the lactic buildup). As this was scheduled to be a recovery week that I’ve been pushing through (simply because I have the time off), I needed the loosening and rest effect of today’s backed-off spin for the longer run that I have planned for tomorrow. I’ll take Monday fully off and will end up linking 4 weeks of training straight-through with a bit of a decrease in the mileage in the weeks to come. But, it’s still very different from my 2-weeks-on, 1-week-off routine so I thought this was a wise decision this early in the game.
